Beginner

Are you new to swimming? The unique approach and methodology of the this class allows you to begin the series and advance through the classes at YOUR comfort level and pace.  Through gentle guidance, understandable techniques and exploration in the water, your comfort level will increase and your confidence will soar. 

You will come to trust your body's innate buoyancy, and by the end of this class, you'll be using basic swim strokes, submerging yourself, floating in the water and moving through the water with ease. Guaranteed!

Intermediate

Ready to learn more? This lesson continues to foster awareness of how your body reacts and responds in the water. From front and back floats to breathing techniques, you will begin to understand the possibility and reality of propelling yourself through water. 

Additional water basics are introduced and practiced, and you will begin to explore how to use the breath while swimming. As new skills are mastered, your confidence continues to grow; and when confidence grows, you master more skills.  By the end of this course, you may even be ready for a handstand or somersault!

Advanced

This advanced lesson is for adults who are comfortable in the water and are now ready to swim for exercise and fun. You will practice the different swimming strokes, breathing techniques, kicking styles, pulls and streamlining.  Each session will begin with Freestyle work, and then will focus on an additional stroke (Breaststroke, Backstroke or Butterfly-kick) and the accompanying drills. 

In this lesson, your skills are improved with the use of props including fins, kick boards and pull buoys.  Get to know your Inner Fish!
